Overview

BAOTI provides certified titanium welding services including TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and plasma arc welding. All welding is performed in argon-purged environments to prevent oxidation and embrittlement.

We fabricate custom titanium assemblies, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and piping systems for chemical, marine, and energy industries.

Our welders hold ASME IX and AWS D17.1 qualifications. All weld procedures are qualified per customer and code requirements with full PQR/WPS documentation.

Our Capabilities

Comprehensive welding & fabrication solutions backed by 50+ years of titanium expertise.

TIG/GTAW Welding

Manual and automated TIG welding with full argon back-purge and trailing shield. AWS D17.1 and ASME IX qualified welders for all titanium grades.

Orbital Welding

Automated orbital TIG welding for tube-to-tubesheet joints in heat exchangers. Programmable, repeatable, defect-free welds.

Pressure Vessel Fabrication

ASME U-stamp certified fabrication of titanium pressure vessels, reactors, and columns up to 6m diameter and 30m length.

Pipe Spool Fabrication

Prefabricated titanium pipe spools with elbows, tees, reducers, and flanges. Isometric-controlled fit-up and weld mapping.

Weld Repair & Overlay

Titanium weld overlay on steel substrates. Repair welding of in-service titanium equipment with re-certification.

Post-Weld Treatment

Stress relief annealing, pickling, passivation, and NDT inspection of all welded joints.

Frequently Asked Questions

What welding processes do you use for titanium?
Primarily TIG (GTAW) with argon shielding for manual work, and automated orbital TIG for tube-to-tubesheet joints. Plasma welding for heavy-section welds.
How do you prevent titanium weld contamination?
All welding is performed in argon-purged chambers or with trailing shields and back-purge. Oxygen levels are monitored below 50 ppm throughout the process.
Can you fabricate titanium pressure vessels?
Yes, we hold the ASME U-Stamp and fabricate titanium vessels up to 6m diameter per ASME Section VIII Division 1 & 2.
What NDT is performed on titanium welds?
All welds undergo radiographic (RT) or ultrasonic (UT) testing per ASME V, plus 100% dye penetrant (PT) inspection. Weld maps and NDT reports are provided with every fabrication.
Can you weld dissimilar metals to titanium?
Direct fusion welding of titanium to steel is not feasible. However, we offer explosion-bonded transition joints and bimetallic inserts that allow reliable titanium-to-steel connections in piping and vessels.
